- Yard? Surrounding the cottage is an attractive and mature garden containing a number of large palms - Manila Palms, Ereka Palms, Rafus Palms and a large Triangle Palm. Flowering gingers abound - Red Gingers, Pink Gingers, King Gingers and the beautiful and unusual Shell Ginger. White Plumbago and several types of Heliconia are scattered throughout the garden - the tall and the mid-sized varieties. Completing the picture is a large, peach-colored Belladonna - the subject of many a tourist photograph. There are several stands of delicious Apple Banana.

This property lies inside the awe-inspiring Iao Valley. Sacred in Hawaiian culture it was the site of numerous heroic battles as well as the reported burial site of many of the members of the ancient Royal families.
Only about a mile and a half to the famous Iao Needle and about 15 minutes walk to nearby Kepaniwai Park - yet only 5 minutes drive into Wailuku, shops and restaurants - this is the ideal Maui location.
Not only is the location perfect but the temperature is normally about 5 degrees cooler than Kahului - much appreciated on those hot summer days!
